We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Quarrington team, operating skip and RoRo vehicles across the local area. This is a hands-on role for a driver who takes pride in safe driving, good customer service, and keeping their vehicle to a high standard.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating HGV Class 2 skip and RoRo vehicles safely and efficiently
- Delivering, exchanging and collecting containers across commercial and industrial sites
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly (DVSA compliance)
- Using tablet-based systems to maintain accurate digital records and waste transfer notes
- Working safely at all times and following site, transport and road regulations
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers on site
- Supporting the wider transport and depot team at our Quarrington site
What we’re looking for:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Proven experience in skip or RoRo operations within the waste sector
- Strong understanding of driver compliance, vehicle safety and waste duty of care
- A reliable, professional approach with strong safety standards
- Good communication skills and a practical, customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to support operational needs, including a 6am start and occasional Saturday work
