Mid Sussex Health Care seeks an enthusiastic salaried GP for a fixed-term contract until April 2027 with 6 sessions per week on a 22,000-patient list.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-standard care to registered and temporary patients.
  • Conduct telephone and face-to-face consultations and triage.
  • Prescribe and manage repeat prescriptions using the practice formulary.
  • Complete clinical and non-clinical administrative duties promptly.
  • Adopt professional, autonomous decision-making for presenting problems.
  • Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Provide counselling, health education and referral to other care providers as appropriate.
  • Maintain clear, contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
  • Participate in BMA safe working guidance and specialist interest development where possible.

Qualifications

  • Newly qualified or longer-qualified GP.
  • Competent in SystmOne clinical system.
  • Prescribing and clinical admin experience aligned with practice protocols.
