About the Role:
Mid Sussex District Council is seeking a driven and experienced Head of Policy, Performance and Insight to join our team. We are looking for an experienced Performance Management specialist who has run a multi-faceted service with in depth exposure to performance management, policy, research, data, risk management and relevant legislation within a Local Government setting.
As the Head of Policy, Performance and Insight you will be responsible for running a service with a wide range of functions to support the organisation's corporate goals and objectives. Your key responsibilities will include activities within;
- Recruitment and selection
- Line Management of staff
- Corporate Performance Management
- Ensuring compliance with Local Government legislation
- Policy development
- Corporate Insurance
- Internal Audit and Risk Management processes
- Project Management methodologies
- Research methodologies
- Data and automation of reporting
- Procurement of databases/new systems
You will work closely with the Corporate Resources Management Team as well as other service leads across Mid Sussex District Council.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous relevant experience in a similar role
- Personal attributes including high integrity, objectivity, flexibility, approachability, collaboration, relationship-building skills, and high emotional intelligence
