Join Mid Devon Glass Ltd, a family-owned business based in Tiverton, specialising in the production of sealed units, toughened glass, and processed flat glass products. As a Production Line Operator, you'll play an important part in the manufacture and assembly of high-quality double glazed units, including bespoke products for a wide range of customers. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll receive full training and have the opportunity to develop your skills within a well-established manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities:- Manufacture and assemble double glazed units to customer specifications.
- Complete daily production schedules safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all products meet our high quality standards.
- Complete production paperwork and records accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Operate machinery safely and carry out basic machine maintenance.
- Report equipment faults, breakdowns or safety concerns.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise productivity.
- Support other production departments when required.
- Follow company policies, procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work.
- Reliable, hardworking with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Effective team player.
- Able to follow detailed instructions and work accurately.
- Basic maths and literacy skills.
- Can read and understand production/work orders.
- Flexible and willing to support different areas of the business.
- Physically fit, as the role involves regular manual handling and heavy lifting.
Previous manufacturing or production experience is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
