Mid Devon District Council is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support & Repairs Officer to join our busy Housing team at Mid Devon Housing based in Tiverton. This is a key front-line role providing technical, administrative and diagnostic support for housing repairs and tenancy services, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of vital services to tenants and residents across the district. Please note we are able to offer a level of hybrid working once fully trained, flexible working and flexi-time.
What you\’ll be doing
- Acting as a central and consistent point of contact for tenants, stakeholders, contractors and Council Officers
- Provide high quality service delivery and support to customers
- Accurately log repair work and tenancy enquiries
- Track the progress of day-to-day repairs, property terminations, tenancy sign-ups and inspections to ensure timely completion and resolution
- Have experience in working with the public in a customer-facing or service environment
- Be someone that is customer focused, responsive and professional
- Be committed to equality, health and safety and continuous service improvement
- Ability to handle a high volume of varied tasks and enquiries efficiently
- Have organisational skills and attention to detail
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
