SALARY: Grade F - £18,922 to £20,660 per annum

LOCATION: Tiverton

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Public Health and Housing Options team as a Regulatory Officer (Food, Safety and Licensing). The principle objective of the role will be working with our lower risk food premises to establish and promote food safety requirements, as well as compliance with health and safety and licensing legislation.

The successful candidate will plan and implement alternative interventions across our E rated, and specified D rated premises. They will also participate in and deliver service initiatives and projects across the breadth of Licensing, and Health and Safety.

Applicants should demonstrate relevant knowledge and/or experience in at least one of the areas of Food Safety and/or Licensing. Other relevant experience, where you can demonstrate the required transferable skills, will be considered. Applicants must have established communication skills, with relevant experience of advising and coaching individuals. The successful candidate will be confident presenting to groups of people as well as an effective one‑on‑one coach.

This is a fantastic development opportunity for the right candidate with a relevant background and experience, with potential to work towards the Level 4 regulatory compliance officer, or Environmental Health qualifications via the apprentice route whilst in post.
