Overview
Dermatology Service Coordinator.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Dermatology Department for a full-time Service Coordinator to join our team. The post will be based at Leighton Hospital.
Responsibilities
- You will be part of a well-established team in a very busy department, your role is to review and manage minor op clinics and waiting lists, clinic utilisation, capacity and demand support, booking and cancelling clinics. You will also be expected to support the managerial team and secretaries with clinic related queries. You will work alongside another Service coordinator and as part of a wider administrative and clinical team.
- Reviewing and supporting clinic slot utilisation.
- Review minor op lists and appoint patients within correct timescales.
- Managing clinic templates.
- Managing consultant/nurse annual leave and updating/cancelling clinics where necessary.
- Setting and booking specialist clinics.
- Answering email/phone enquiries in a timely manner.
- Creating adhoc clinic sessions.
- liaising with the secretarial team and clinical team.
- Cover for service coordinator in times of leave.
- Supporting management with capacity and demand planning.
- Reducing clinics due to operational meetings.
Requirements/Qualifications

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) provides good quality, safe and effective healthcare to the people of Cheshire and beyond. The post holder will provide a comprehensive, quality and confidential administration service to the Divisions and their team in support of the wider managerial team.
A key requirement of the post is to proactively manage clinic bookings and appointments, including making recommendations and implementing any authorised changes to clinic templates to ensure best use of capacity and compliance with national targets.
The Service Coordinator will be expected to organise their workload and co-ordinate their activities in conjunction with, and supervised by, the Assistant Service Manager/ Service Manager to ensure that an efficient service is provided. It is essential that the post holder is able to exercise initiative suitable to the role, and is fully supportive to other colleagues in the administrative team.
