Are you looking for an exciting challenge with learning opportunities? Are you a highly motivated and dynamic individual? A very exciting opportunity has arisen in our Outpatients Department at Northwich Infirmary for a band 6 Sister. We are looking for a highly motivated nurse who is passionate about delivering high standards of nursing care to ensure a positive patient experience.

You need to have excellent communication skills and be prepared to work in a busy environment which will be in turn rewarding and exciting. We would welcome applications from individuals with a good foundation of post registration experience, a current student assessor or equivalent, leadership experience. It is essential that the successful candidate is professional, diplomatic and caring as you will be challenged with the varied demands of the ward. You must have the ability to prioritise your working day under pressure. If you are enthusiastic, open to change and innovation and highly motivated then we would encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessment of patient nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate care in the outpatients setting, utilising research as appropriate and supporting junior colleagues with this.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team/agencies to ensure that patient needs are met.
  • Be designated to manage the clinic for the duration of shift by the clinic manager.
  • Prepare the clinical area for safe practice by ensuring that cleanliness is maintained, materials and equipment are ready for use, including clearing away afterwards.
  • Support the management of a specific group of patients and deliver evidence based nursing care to the highest standard.
  • Collect, collate and report information, maintaining accurate patient records/documentation.
  • Respond to and prioritise a wide range of demands and tasks in a rapidly changing environment, liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the promotion of effective, appropriate and timely information and education to patients and relatives.
  • Work across sites if required and deputise for B7 manager.

Key Qualifications:

  • Good foundation of post registration experience.
  • Current student assessor or equivalent.
