Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly motivated, dedicated team of Domestics as a supervisor based at Leighton Hospital.

As a Facilities Supervisor, you are responsible for planning and organising the cleaning operations for our hospital, wards and other areas. The shift pattern will include alternate day and evening shifts to include weekends. You will also be involved in other management tasks such as recruiting and training staff, arranging staff rotas, making sure all cleaning meets quality standards, managing absence and discipline, and controlling budgets. You will also be involved in hands-on cleaning, so be prepared to roll your sleeves up!

Our ideal candidate will need to be reliable, flexible, and a good team player. We need someone with good interpersonal and communication skills, someone who is organised and sensible. You will be covering 7:30am to 3:30pm, working 5/7 with alternate weekends and some Bank Holidays. Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full range of local hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester boroughs (population 357K). Job purpose

Responsible for the day to day supervision of staff, managing rosters, organisation of staff training, planning staff attendance and allocating annual leaver; applying National and Trust standards to the delivery of service; supporting the Trust’s expectation of values and behaviours and reporting on quality and assurance.

Service delivery

  • To deliver cleaning services in accordance with service level agreements, cleaning management software systems, National and Trust standards and in agreement with service users
  • To deliver services within agreed financial budgets and targets
  • Work together with contractors on site for window cleaning, air deodorisers and maintenance of plant displays to enable their agreed services are provided in accordance with specifications
  • Prioritise tasks for cleaning services dependant on the designated risk associated to the department or service user
  • Record and follow up actions taken in relation to customer/service user issues
