Responsibilities:
- Direct, supervise, instruct, and assist maintenance staff and contractors in carrying out maintenance duties throughout the hospital and other unit premises.
- Undertake unsupervised routine maintenance, and oversee the repair, maintenance, and installation of complex plant and equipment associated with premises administered by the Estates & Facilities Division.
- Carry out duties to a high standard in an efficient and timely manner, including duties in other trades within Estates & Facilities and operational functions of the Division.
- Provide sickness and annual leave cover for the section.
- Integrate with all sections of the Estates and Facilities Division and liaise with all trust staff.
Qualifications:
- Completed a time‑served apprenticeship or similar structured training program with post‑qualification experience in an engineering discipline.
- Engineering background with good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and guidance.
