We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a ward clerk supporting Ward 9. The successful candidate will need to be forward thinking and be able to provide a full range of clerical duties to support the smooth running of the ward. Good organisational and communication skills are essential as well as a flexible approach to work. Knowledge of health IT systems to include PCS would be desirable although full training will be given.

The position will cover weekends, days and evenings up to 10 pm and both full and part time positions available. You will be responsible for the maintenance of patient notes and computer systems. You will be expected to communicate with a wide range of professionals, consultants, doctors, nursing staff, and patients/relatives. You will be expected to organise your own workload in order to maintain an efficient and professional service.

To provide a comprehensive administration and clerical service within the ward. The post holder will be required to understand ward systems, taking into account the needs of patients who require admission, transfer and discharge, and be expected to communicate with a wide range of professionals, consultants, doctors, nursing staff and patients/relatives and carers, organising own workload in order to maintain an efficient and professional service.
