Specialist Nutrition Support Dietitian

We are delighted to be looking at appointing a Band 6 Specialist Dietitian to work at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.

We would love you to join our friendly team in this nutrition support role to help you expand your knowledge in many specialist areas with both inpatients and outpatients.

You will join an enthusiastic and motivated dietetic team who cover many clinical specialities in the hospital.

You will have ongoing support from senior members of the team, and opportunity to shadow and develop clinical skills in many specialty areas.

You will be working within established multidisciplinary teams providing expert nutritional advice to patients while supporting and educating the wider team to provide patient‑centred care. There will be support in all areas from Advanced Specialist Dietitians to facilitate your learning.

Main duties of the job

  • Work as an autonomous Specialist Dietitian and provide a comprehensive and effective dietetic service.
  • Work very closely with the multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Provide assessment, management and education for patients requiring specialist dietetic and nutrition intervention.
  • Provide training and advice to health care professionals on the dietary management of their patients.
  • Audit and evaluate the outcome of the service provided.
