Critical Care Outreach Charge Nurse

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a motivated and conscientious individual to join the Southend Outreach service. The Outreach team is an integral part of the Critical Care Department, working closely with Critical Care staff to review deteriorating patients on the wards and to support patients following discharge from the Intensive Care Unit.
The role requires a comprehensive ability to assess patients, recognise areas of concern, and provide timely and appropriate treatment. Clear communication is essential, as the nurse will be involved in emergency situations and will educate and support ward staff.
Responsibilities
You will provide excellent assessment and observation skills for critically ill patients across a variety of clinical settings, demonstrating professional leadership to ensure patient care is optimised.

Qualifications and Experience
- Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- BSc (Hons) in Nursing or related field
- Band 6 experience
- Experience in consultation and assessment
- ALS certification
- Experience/qualifications in mentoring students
