Are you a people person who is looking for an exciting new opportunity? If so, we are looking for a part time Post Room Assistant to join our friendly and welcoming Post Room team at Broomfield Hospital. The successful candidate will be part of an enthusiastic team providing a high-quality mail service. You will enjoy meeting new people, using your organisational skills and working in a fast-paced environment. The shift pattern for this role will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 08:30 - 12:30.

Main duties of the job:

  • You will be working in a busy post room environment receiving, sorting and delivering mail whilst using your customer service skills to help colleagues and other service users.
  • You will get to use your communication skills to liaise with all levels of the organisation face to face, on the phone and in writing.
  • The role involves physical activity, delivering post to Wards and Departments across the Hospital.

Qualifications:

  • Maths and English GCSE (D or above)

Experience:

  • Experience of previous customer service role
  • Previous experience working in a team
  • Experience of working within Post Room environment

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
