BSC specializes in the global design and manufacture of custom RF and Microwave Solutions. Utilising core and advanced filter technologies as well as their integration in higher level sub-assemblies for the latest RF and microwave products to connect and protect people in defence, communications, aerospace and space.

The Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we’re now recruiting a Compliance Lead to shape, maintain and improve how our products move globally across borders, meeting company, country and customer requirements. In this key role, you’ll be proactively collaborating with our Sales, Logistics, Engineering, Purchasing and Finance teams, managing import and export documentation, processes and systems throughout the entire Sales – Despatch process.

Your Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Streamlining our export license processes including standard and Open General (OGELs) licenses for military and dual use technologies and rigorous due diligence on end-user certificates.
  • Maintaining and improving import/export systems and processes that support MPG’s business and compliance goals and international trade compliance.
  • Managing import and export documentation, processes and systems throughout the Sales – Despatch process, including customs declarations, bills of lading, import and export licences and other shipping documents, enabling smooth cross-border transactions.
  • Positively managing relationships with customs officials and regulatory bodies ensuring compliance.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to consistently demonstrate the following:

  • A’ Level / equivalent qualification in business, law or compliance subject.
  • Practical experience in regulatory compliance, import and export responsibilities.
  • Understanding and application of UK legal and regulatory requirements, export control regulations, REACH, and RoHS regulations.
  • Able to conduct internal audits, manage documentation, data analysis and report writing.
  • Develop and maintain external relationships with compliance personnel and organisations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to convey complex regulatory information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work practically and collaboratively in cross-functional and global teams.
