A global leader in fabless semiconductor innovation is seeking an RF IC Design Engineer to join its highly experienced international RF design team working on next-generation 6G cellular RF products in advanced CMOS technologies. The company develops cutting-edge semiconductor solutions powering billions of connected devices worldwide across AI, wireless connectivity, high-performance computing, automotive, and data centre applications. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to state-of-the-art RFIC developments within a collaborative global engineering environment focused on innovation, performance, and first-pass silicon success.

Scope & Responsibilities

  • Define specifications, architecture, circuit design, implementation, and verification of RFIC sub-systems
  • Develop innovative RF signal path and synthesizer solutions for advanced 6G cellular products
  • Perform RFIC circuit design and optimisation in advanced CMOS technologies
  • Collaborate closely with RF system and application engineers to define system specifications and performance targets
  • Support integration of complex RF systems-on-chip (SoCs)
  • Contribute to RFIC layout optimisation and supervise layout implementation activities
  • Participate in silicon validation, performance analysis, and design improvements
  • Work collaboratively with international engineering teams across multiple disciplines

Competencies

  • Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience in RFIC design
  • Proven track record delivering high-performance CMOS RF transceivers into mass production
  • Strong RF system analysis and RFIC design expertise
  • Experience designing in advanced CMOS technologies (16nm and below preferred)
  • Excellent understanding of RF SoC integration challenges
  • Hands-on experience with Cadence Analog Design Environment and EM simulation tools
  • Good understanding of cellular RF performance requirements
  • Experience using MATLAB and/or Python for data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within global engineering teams
