We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Systems Test Engineer to support the design, development, and validation of industrial imaging systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting tests on both hardware and software components to ensure performance, safety, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test procedures for systems.
- Conduct system-level testing of imaging systems including calibration, image quality evaluation, radiation safety, and functional verification.
- Operate X-ray equipment in a lab or field environment, adhering strictly to radiation safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with R&D, hardware, software, and regulatory teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
- Analyse test data, document results, and generate detailed test reports.
- Develop and maintain automated test tools and scripts as needed.
- Validate compliance with applicable standards.
- Support root cause analysis for product failures and contribute to corrective actions.
- Assist in verification and validation (V&V) activities as part of the product development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- 2-5 years of experience in system-level testing, preferably with X-ray or other imaging systems.
- Familiarity with X-ray generation and detection principles.
- Understanding of industrial system testing standards.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Radiation safety training or certification (e.g., RSO or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with X-ray detectors, image processing, or image quality metrics.
- Test environment with exposure to ionizing radiation under controlled conditions.
- Must be able to wear PPE and follow strict safety protocols.
- Occasional travel may be required for field testing or customer support.
