Principal Process Engineer – Epitaxy

Location: Suffolk (Onsite required)

We\’re seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead epitaxial growth process development, with a focus on Indium Phosphide (InP) for photonic applications. This role is key to advancing technologies used in telecom, data centers, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize InP epitaxial processes (MOCVD).
• Collaborate with device teams to tailor layers for photonics performance.
• Oversee material quality, characterization, and process control.
• Lead R&D projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Stay current on epitaxy and photonics trends.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• 12+ years\’ experience in compound semiconductor epitaxy (InP).
• Expertise in MOCVD and photonics devices.
• Skilled in process control, cleanroom operations, and materials characterization (XRD, PL, SEM, etc.).
