This role is working with a consumer electronics company. This role would begin as part time as 3/4 hours per day on-site, and then will be looking to go full time on-site around July time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and configure Windows laptops
- Troubleshoot proxy issues and manage rules via GUI
- Troubleshoot Windows, Outlook, and other common software
- Deliver induction sessions for new starters
- Manage assets via the Service Desk Portal
- Log and respond to incidents/requests using the IT Helpdesk platform
- Create and manage user accounts
- Administer security tools (e.g. NASCA, ESCORT)
- Write and maintain user-facing FAQ/How-To guides on Confluence
- Provide one-to-one support where necessary
- Investigate incidents proactively and resolve issues on affected systems
- Identify root causes of incidents and communicate updates to users
- Coordinate with the centre’s IT Engineer to test system changes
- Ensure sufficient IT stock is available to support the centre’s needs
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of Symantec Antivirus
- PC installation, setup, and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of Active Directory
- Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
- Understanding of firewalls and proxy servers
