Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering efforts on complex research projects in machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Optimize algorithms and ensure the scalability and robustness of research prototypes and systems
- Coordinate closely with researchers to align engineering work with research objectives and project goals
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and research staff
- Contribute to technical publications and assist in preparing research documentation
- Maintain and improve research infrastructure, tools, and workflows
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, engineering best practices, and related fields
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science or related subject
- Track record of contributing to top publications or open-source projects
- Extensive experience researching machine learning algorithms and systems
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar
- Proven ability to lead engineering projects and work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or technical staff
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities, including technical documentation
- Experience with optimization, reinforcement learning, and/or large language models (LLMs)
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX)
