My client is one of the world’s leading precision timing ICs manufacturers. To complement their growing ASIC team, they are looking for an experienced analog IC designer with the skills and enthusiasm to significantly enhance my client’s competitive position by delivering robust, high performance custom analogue and mixed signal integrated circuits.
Responsibilities
- As the Principal Analog design engineer you are expected to hit the ground running (product familiarisation is provided) in minimal time.
- To champion our leading-edge technology, you need to be an innovative circuit designer who can start designing blocks from scratch.
- As part of this role, you will be working with other senior to principal level engineers to deliver on tight deadlines.
- Contribute specialist IC guidance and design input to the development of its Product Roadmap, specification of new devices and the selection of appropriate technology nodes.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to agree optimal system partitioning solutions, ASIC target specifications and ASIC architectures.
- Devise robust circuit solutions for the complex and intellectually challenging functions and control schemes necessary to deliver target system performance.
- Capture schematic designs in accordance with the standards developed and specified by the design team.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Analog design industrial experience with a proven track using mixed BJT and CMOS technologies over several production ASICs.
- Extensive experience of developing high performance custom analogue integrated circuits that have gone into production.
- Expert knowledge of Cadence tool workflow for schematic capture, simulation and layout.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of analogue circuit design, theory and practice in CMOS and Bi-CMOS technologies.
- A degree in Electronics Engineering.
- Be a team player with good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and communication, and presentation skills in English.
