We’re looking for a Linux System Administrator to strengthen the ICT department and help manage the computer systems and software environments that our engineers use to build the microprocessors of the future.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and Windows Server / Windows 10 environments.
- Monitor disk usage, backups, updates, and licensing.
- Provide 1st & 2nd line support for users, including Linux graphics terminal users and Windows 10 / Office users.
- Perform local modifications to Active Directory, manage group policies, and administer user / machine accounts.
- Develop shell and Python scripts for automation tasks.
- Implement global security policies, including client VPN and multi-factor authentication.
- Maintain Weekly / Daily backups using Backup Exec and manage hardware support contracts.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience supporting and administering both Linux and Windows.
- A relevant degree or extensive job-based training.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team, fostering productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- A methodical and systematic approach to work and attention to detail.
