A global leader in electronic components is seeking a Global Protection Division Applications Director (AD) to drive the next phase of growth across its protection and resistive product portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of engineering, customer engagement, and product strategy. You will shape how advanced technologies are developed, positioned, and adopted by leading OEMs worldwide while building and leading a truly global applications function.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Define and execute the global applications strategy and product roadmap aligned to market needs and emerging technologies.
- Partner closely with strategic customers, semiconductor companies, and commercial teams to identify and capture new opportunities.
- Play a key role in long-term growth planning, including technology investment and portfolio expansion.
- Global Applications Organisation
- Build, lead, and scale applications labs across EMEA, North America, and Asia.
- Ensure teams deliver high-value customer support, including concept design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Develop a high-performing team culture with clear objectives, KPIs, and career development pathways.
- Customer & Ecosystem Engagement
- Establish deep technical relationships with key OEM engineering teams.
- Lead high-level discussions to translate customer needs into commercially viable solutions.
- Drive semiconductor reference design partnerships, ensuring strong alignment with key IC players.
- Innovation & Market Leadership
- Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and technical forums.
- Deliver thought leadership through presentations, white papers, and solution showcases.
- Identify emerging applications, technologies, and competitive trends.
- Cross-Functional Impact
- Act as the bridge between applications, engineering, marketing, and production.
