Our client is a leading semiconductor company developing high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs for next-generation optical communication systems. Their technology enables high-speed data transfer across AI infrastructure, data centres, telecommunications networks, and fibre‑optic applications.

The Role

As Analog Design Manager, you will lead a team of Analog IC Designers and Layout Engineers while driving the development of high-speed analog and mixed‑signal products from concept through production. This is a leadership role combining technical oversight, project ownership, and people management across multiple IC development programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Analog Design and Layout teams
  • Manage full New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle from architecture to production
  • Translate product requirements into executable design plans
  • Drive multiple concurrent IC development programmes
  • Collaborate with Product, Applications, Validation, Test, and Reliability teams
  • Lead design reviews and tape‑out readiness activities
  • Support silicon bring‑up, debug, and performance optimisation
  • Present technical updates and programme status to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of Analog IC Design experience
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership or management experience
  • Strong background in analog and mixed‑signal design, simulation, and verification
  • Proven experience delivering semiconductor products through the full development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience

  • High‑speed optical communication ICs
  • Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs)
  • Laser Drivers
  • Advanced analog simulation environments
  • Project or programme management experience
