The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced System Architect to define and drive the architecture of next-generation mixed-signal semiconductor products.

This is a highly visible technical leadership role focused on translating customer and market requirements into innovative IC and system-level solutions. You will work closely with customers, product teams, software engineers, and design teams throughout the full product development lifecycle, from concept definition through to silicon implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers, marketing, software, applications, and design teams to define next-generation semiconductor products
  • Capture and define system-level requirements, specifications, and performance targets
  • Evaluate hardware and software trade-offs to determine optimal product architectures
  • Define architectures for complex mixed-signal ICs and SoCs incorporating power converters, amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, charge pumps, DSPs, and sensing technologies
  • Lead architecture reviews and support design reviews across IC and system-level developments
  • Work closely with Design, IP, and Advanced Technology teams to develop innovative solutions
  • Act as the technical voice of the customer throughout product planning and development
  • Support portfolio planning and long-term technology strategy
  • Monitor customer roadmaps, market trends, and competitive technologies to influence future product direction

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in Mixed-Signal IC Design and System Architecture
  • Strong background in low-power Analog and Mixed-Signal semiconductor products
  • Experience architecting and specifying products for consumer, industrial, automotive, or healthcare applications
  • Knowledge of Analog and Mixed-Signal building blocks including:
    • Audio circuits and CODECs
    • ADCs and DACs
    • Power management circuits
    • Amplifiers
    • Charge pumps
    • DSP-based systems
  • Strong system-level thinking and modelling capability
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical and business requirements

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working directly with Tier 1 customers
  • Product definition and roadmap planning exposure
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence technical strategy and product direction
