About the Role:

As a Quality Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of both customer quality assurance and supplier quality management within the semiconductor space. You’ll lead customer return investigations using structured 8D analysis, working closely with the Failure Analysis team and suppliers to drive resolution and continuous improvement.

You’ll also manage key supplier performance across wafer fabrication, ASIC assembly, and testing. Your work will ensure robust corrective actions, supplier accountability, and long-term quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the customer return process end-to-end, from logging to resolution.
  • Lead 8D investigations and communicate progress to customers clearly and professionally.
  • Prioritize failure analysis efforts with the Failure Analysis team.
  • Guide internal teams and suppliers in effective 8D problem-solving.
  • Perform initial electrical and visual inspections on customer returns.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on supplier issues and verify corrective actions.
  • Drive the flow-down of customer complaints to relevant supplier processes.
  • Lead MRB (Material Review Board) and CRB (Change Review Board) activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain.
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance using KPIs and audits.
  • Maintain detailed records to support traceability and compliance.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent experience in quality engineering (semiconductor or automotive electronics preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor processes (wafer fabrication, ASIC assembly/testing).
  • Strong working knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3).
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and SPC tools.
  • Solid problem-solving skills (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with suppliers and customers.
