The Foundation IPs and PDKs engineer is responsible for the systematic organization, maintenance, and distribution of all FIP and PDK assets such as Standard cells libraries, Memory compilers, EDA tools techfiles and runsets. This role involves the efficient tracking, retrieval, installation, and verification of these assets from various vendors to support project needs and maintain accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong understanding of hardware physical design libraries' views formats and inventory management principles.

Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date inventory of all hardware assets, including Hardware IPs, PDKs, tech files and specialized vendor tools. Perform regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with records. Implement and manage a robust tracking system for hardware check-out and check-in.
- Collaterals Preparation and Distribution: Prepare collaterals for deployment, which includes tracking vendor updates, installation, and delivery verification. Coordinate the distribution of collaterals to project teams based on requests and maintain registration lists. Ensure all distributed libraries are in good working condition.
- Maintenance and Fix Coordination: Oversee the routine maintenance and cleaning of missing or broken collaterals. Coordinate with external vendors for new versions with fixes or replacements. Remove or block usage of obsolete or damaged hardware libraries in an environmentally responsible manner, following company guidelines.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of FIP specifications, licenses, and other relevant data. Generate regular reports on FIP utilization, inventory levels, and asset lifecycle. Develop and update documentation for FIP management procedures.
- Support and Communication: Provide support and guidance to employees regarding FIP usage and best practices. Communicate effectively with various departments to understand their FIP needs and provide timely solutions. Assist in procurement planning by identifying FIP requirements and recommending purchases. Communicate constantly with vendors about issues with current collaterals and retrieval of the most up to date collaterals for the various projects usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in Physical Design and Verification understanding the layout of Std cells and wide understanding of the various library views, EDA tools' techfiles and runsets.
- 3-5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
- Large database management skills in Unix environment.
- Excellent communication skills with local teams and external vendors.
