Job Title: Hardware Design and Verification Engineer Position: Junior – Mid level Engineers Type: Contract or Permanent Location: Hertfordshire Hybrid Salary Range: Negotiable Client Information: We are building a revolutionary RISC-V-based GPU and AI platform, and we’re hiring talented engineers in Hardware Design and Hardware Verification to join us on this mission. Design Responsibilities: Architect and implement RTL for critical blocks within our RISC-V vector core GPU Design high-performance, power-efficient compute units for graphics and AI workloads Optimize microarchitecture to meet performance, power, and area (PPA) targets Work collaboratively with verification teams to ensure correctness and efficiency Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical decision-making Document technical specifications and development progress Contribute to bring-up, synthesis, and physical-aware design flows Verification Responsibilities: Develop UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches and functional verification plans Implement directed and constrained-random tests for robust coverage Execute regression testing, debug RTL, and track issues to resolution Verify block-level and system-level behavior for our GPU and AI IPs Utilize formal verification techniques when applicable Measure and validate system performance and functional correctness Collaborate closely with RTL designers and architects Design Requirements: 5+ years of experience in RTL design (SystemVerilog or VHDL) Deep knowledge of digital design principles and computer architecture Experience with GPU, vector processors, or AI accelerator design Familiarity with RISC-V instruction set architecture (preferred) Understanding of graphics pipelines and/or neural network accelerators Awareness of physical design implications (DFT, timing, floorplanning) Proficiency with EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor, etc.) Strong scripting skills in Python, TCL, or similar BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field Verification Requirements: 5+ years of experience in hardware verification (complex SoCs preferred) Strong understanding of UVM and SystemVerilog methodologies Experience with advanced verification techniques (coverage, assertions, formal) Familiarity with RISC-V and GPU/AI architectures (preferred) Proficient with simulators and debug tools (e.g., VCS, Questa, ModelSim) Scripting experience in Python, Perl, or TCL Strong analytical and debugging skills BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field Get in touch with Jessica@microtech-global.com for Digital Design Get in touch with Tee@microtech-global.com for Verification And for more information on this role and similar opportunities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
