Role Overview: They are looking for an experienced Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Designer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. The role focuses on designing, simulating, and evaluating analog and mixed-signal IC blocks for high-performance ASICs, contributing from architecture through to lab evaluation and product qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and verify analog and mixed-signal IC blocks
  • Contribute to architectural design, abstract modelling, and system-level simulation
  • Support and review block layout, providing technical guidance as needed
  • Assist with lab evaluation, including development of supporting hardware and software
  • Support qualification, failure analysis, and production test activities
  • Follow design processes and documentation standards
  • Collaborate with layout, test, digital, and system teams
  • Contribute to design reviews and analog methodology improvements

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of analog electronics with awareness of digital design
  • Hands-on experience in analog IC block design and evaluation
  • Proficient in SPICE / Cadence or similar analog simulation tools
  • Experience with scripting (Python, MATLAB)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • Permanent right to work in the UK

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with mixed-signal ASICs or advanced sensor circuits
  • Exposure to power or high-performance analog blocks
  • Familiarity with IC qualification, failure analysis, or production test
  • Mentoring or supporting junior engineers
