- Equipment & Fixture Fabrication
- Fabricate new fixtures, tooling, guards, brackets, and equipment components from engineering drawings, sketches, verbal instructions, or existing samples.
- Modify and improve existing jigs, fixtures, and support equipment to improve safety, usability, quality, or production efficiency.
- Set up and safely operate machine shop equipment, welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools within assigned capabilities.
- Project Management & Documentation
- Plan, prioritize, and complete assigned fabrication, repair, and improvement projects with limited supervision.
- Maintain accurate records of upcoming, in-process, and completed work, including parts used, work performed, and status updates.
- Complete required Microspec documentation including routers, logs, records, preventive maintenance forms, and project notes.
- Maintenance & Repair
- Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and upgrade manufacturing equipment, support equipment, and facility systems as requested.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance per documented procedures and identify follow-up work needed to maintain equipment reliability.
- Assist in identifying root causes of recurring maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Respond to urgent equipment or facility needs while maintaining safe work practices and communicating status to appropriate personnel.
- Leadership, Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Provide guidance to Level 1 technicians on routine fabrication, maintenance, documentation, and safe work practices when requested.
- Communicate material, tooling, safety, and equipment needs to the Maintenance Team Lead or appropriate personnel.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to production flow, fixture reliability, workplace organization, and preventive maintenance effectiveness.
- General & Other Duties
