The role focuses on acquiring data, building models, and delivering actionable insights to customers while operating in a customer‑directed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire necessary data for project plans and develop usable datasets for modeling.
  • Update internal best practices for data collection and preparation, and contribute to data integrity conversations with customers.
  • Evaluate team models, recommend improvements, and drive best practices for model development.
  • Develop operational models that run at scale and conduct thorough reviews of data analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Identify and invent new evaluation methods to improve model quality.
  • Maintain deep industry knowledge, including trends and technologies, to identify strategy opportunities and contribute thought leadership.
  • Write extensible code that spans multiple features and develop expertise in proper debugging techniques.
  • Define business, customer, and solution strategy goals and partner with other teams to explore new opportunities.
  • Apply a customer‑oriented focus to understand needs and help drive realistic expectations.

Qualifications

  • Security Check (SC) clearance or ability to obtain it, as issued by the United Kingdom Security Vetting Unit (UKSV).

Must meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

  • Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Data‑science experience, including managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques, and reporting results.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working in customer‑facing environments.
  • Comfortable with a travel requirement of approximately 25%.

Benefits
