Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions (AGS). If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Location: London/Reading - hybrid/mostly remote (2 days/month)

Duration: 6 months

Pay Range: £195-£220/day

Weekly Schedule: 40 hours

Summary: The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team plays a critical role in turning Microsoft’s commercial strategy into clear, local execution and measurable results. We drive operational excellence across regions, areas, and subsidiaries connecting insight with action to accelerate transformation and deliver business impact at scale. Sales Excellence sits at the core of this execution engine. As trusted advisors to sales leadership, we bring discipline, insight, and momentum to priority initiatives, enabling consistent, high-quality outcomes. The UK & Ireland Sales Excellence team works closely with Regional Sales Enablement Leadership, Business & Sales Operations, and Finance to support business performance end to end.

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated, outcome-driven Sales Excellence Specialist to support the Financial Services business. This right person will partner with sales leaders to drive a strong Rhythm of Business, support five-quarter rolling planning, strengthen pipeline health, and embed Microsoft sales methodologies across teams. This person will also collaborate across roles and segments to ensure clarity, focus, and execution excellence. As part of Microsoft’s AI transformation, you will also help identify and embed AI-driven insights and automation into sales processes enabling more predictive decision-making and greater operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnership and Support: Advise and contribute to sales teams/leadership on sales motions/strategies for opportunity management (e.g., up-sell, cross-sell, renewal, recapture). Provide input on operationalising prioritised sales plays, support generating new business and accelerate the closing of existing opportunities.
  • Pipeline Health and Management: Instill sales process discipline and adherence to standards and excellence in execution, or pipeline health. Adopt and share pipeline hygiene and health best practices within the team.
  • Sales Execution Support: A coordinated rhythm of business that aligns segments, solution areas, and roles with key partners for seamless execution and accountability, and equip sales managers to operationalise core sales principles and strategy guiding quarterly activations around pipeline creation and acceleration, by utilising Microsoft sales methodologies and reporting tools.
  • Sales Execution Transformation: Support the landing of emerging and updated sales strategies, processes, and objectives to drive sustainable growth and improved sales performance and drive efficiencies.
  • Agile Planning: Support execution of always on planning activities in partnership with segment, accounts and operational leadership, supporting account planning, with enhanced SEL guidance and enabled motions.
  • Sales Transformation: Collaborate with team members to suggest actions to remove sales roadblocks, drive utilisations of investment, increase customer/partner facing time, and enhance seller/partner capability and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Experience in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience in the cloud or technology space is highly preferred.
  • Excellent MS Excel and data analysis skills are essential with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills across senior level leadership.
  • Keen ability to think strategically and proactively to drive outcomes.
