The Global Channel Partner Sales (GCPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people, and organizations to achieve more. As a Partner Solution Architect, you will guide the development of business solutions, provide deep technical insights, and accelerate the growth of Microsoft Tech priorities within our Partner Ecosystem.
You will guide our most significant partners to designing and implementing innovative scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures that meet market needs, leveraging your skills in technical leadership, cloud computing, software development, problem solving and systems architecture to enable digital transformation, optimize performance, and drive innovation through cloud technologies. You will work with partners to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, guide architectural design sessions, develop proofs of concepts, and help them transition from legacy systems to modern cloud environments, ensuring solutions are optimized for performance and cost-efficiency. This role supports the UK&I Channel.

Responsibilities- Design Cloud Architectures - Ensure robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure tailored to partner needs, enabling growth and resilience.
- Lead Architectural Design Sessions - Facilitate collaboration to align cloud solutions with business goals and technical requirements.
- Develop Proof of Concepts and Pilots – Demonstrate feasibility and benefits, gain partner buy-in, and validate ideas before full-scale implementation.
- Provide Technical Guidance and Support - Support successful implementation and optimization of cloud solutions, maximizing partner value.
- Transition Partners from Legacy Systems - Enable smooth migration to modern cloud environments, reducing operational risk and improving efficiency.
- Partner Enablement and Business Acumen - Guide the broader technical team on pre-sales, deployment, and consumption, translate technical concepts into business value.
- Ensure strong integration with the wider channel ecosystem within Microsoft, collaborating with PSS and PDM sales roles to align with UK&I strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND technical consulting, technical consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience OR Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND relevant experience OR equivalent experience.
- Previous related experience in technology IP solutions or services development, with an understanding of digital transformation, cloud platforms, and trends such as generative AI and SaaS.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies with a focus on Microsoft cloud offerings (Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365).
- Strong working knowledge of information protection approaches, NIST, etc.
- Knowledge of M365 and Azure Security platform value and multi-tenancy management.
- Security, governance, data access, incident response best practices.
- Managed security services, modern SOC architecture and best practices; Security Well-Architected Framework (WAF).
- Zero Trust, MFA, and SIEM proficiency.
