Microsoft Finance organization purpose Microsoft Customers & Partners Solutions (MCAPS) Finance drives shareholder value across subsidiaries and carries local accountability for financial performance, statutory and compliance matters across segments and products. The function lands the company vision around business transformation, consumption, customer orientation and AI-led growth; drives strategic resource allocation through local insights; builds trust with customers and shareholders in a compliant way; and empowers finance talent to operate as part of high-performing, diverse teams.

Microsoft UKI is a dual subsidiary (UK & Ireland) area within EMEA. The UKI Finance team partners with sales, customer success, services, business groups and marketing teams to drive sustainable growth, governance and actionable business insight.

Role purpose

The Customer Success Finance Manager partners across the MCAPS sales teams (ATU, STU and CSU) to drive business impact and support growth. The role ensures that all finance rhythms are run efficiently, effectively and to a high standard, and combines people leadership with individual-contributor delivery in direct support of the UK & Ireland CFO.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the UKI business conversation through insightful and actionable analytics across the business.
  • Drive growth strategy across all products and all sales units (ATU, STU and CSU).
  • Guide others to contribute to budget, reporting and recurring business-review processes.
  • Share insights and advance solutions to drive business goals and short-term accountabilities.
  • Work closely with the rest of the area finance teams to build alignment and a community for learning, insight and feedback.
  • Track key metrics across all areas of revenue.
  • Lead the outlook, forecast and budget processes across all revenue lines for UKI.
  • Provide clear insight and support on compliance matters.
  • Drive frontier finance through the evolving use of AI across the team.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND demonstrable experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field, OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND demonstrable experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field, OR equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in finance positions, with relevant analytical skills and business acumen.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s degree) in a related field AND demonstrable experience of financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in multinationals with multi-product / multi-segment finance roles.
  • Demonstrable experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Finance business development or solutions-delivery experience preferred.

This role requires proficiency in written, reading, and conversational English as all business operations as well as customer communications are conducted in English.
