Role Overview
The Senior Account Executive - AI Startups & Scaleups (UK) leads and orchestrates the One Microsoft team efforts to drive ambitious growth and wins with start‑ups and unicorns on the Microsoft Cloud Platform.
The role partners closely with resources in the Digital Natives Organization, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Business Desk and other groups across Microsoft.
Responsibilities
- Leading and shaping the future of high‑potential startups and unicorns based on locally set selection criteria.
- Assessing external data to identify startups and unicorns, qualifying them based on current status, scores, cost of complexity, acquisition potential, and internal Microsoft relevance.
- Engaging this segment to prioritize motion for potential unicorn wins through Azure projects, strategic partnerships, or exclusivity on specific workloads.
- Building strategic partnerships at the right time to accelerate growth and build new solutions.
- Envisioning new industry scenarios and business models with unicorns.
- Driving technical alignment with v‑technical teams across segments (CSU, STU, GBBs, Engineering, CSE).
- Developing and overseeing execution of account plans to ensure Microsoft revenue targets and customer outcomes are met.
- Advocating on behalf of customers, ensuring internal requests and needs are addressed.
- Leading and orchestrating extended virtual teams across solution areas to achieve growth in revenue and market share.
- Building and maintaining strong industry knowledge of customers’ industry, strategy, partners, and solutions, gaining deeper insights through direct engagement.
