The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The team purpose is to assure the performance, reliability, & continuous improvement of Hollow Core Fibre (HCF) products, supporting current operational excellence & future roadmap alignment. The job purpose is to use established test methods, and develop new methods, to ensure optical fibre, cable and component products are qualified, fit for purpose and will meet the required design lifetime.

**Responsibilities**
Develop qualification & reliability test plans in collaboration with optical fibre product & process development teams.
Prepare test samples along with production teams & execute tests to qualify products & processes.
Analyse test data, report results, investigate failures, and share improvement proposals.
Develop new test methods & support test automation & process improvements to grow the team\’s capabilities.
Set up and maintain test equipment and workstations to adapt to evolving priorities of the team.
Document procedures and train staff on new processes.
Promote safety and best practices in development, testing and manufacturing.
**Qualifications**
**Required/minimum qualifications**
Bachelor\’s Degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.
You must be legally authorised (have citizenship or a valid visa/work permit) to work in the UK to be eligible for this role.
**Other Requirements:**
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:u202f
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Additional or Preferred qualifications:**
Master\’s Degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field OR Bachelor\’s Degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.
