Overview We’re on a mission to redefine how the world works with AI by rewiring productivity and collaboration for the next 30 years. Our team sits at the intersection of engineering and customer innovation, driving real-world adoption and shaping product signals for Microsoft’s Copilot platforms including Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365. As part of core engineering yet deeply embedded with customers, we influence strategy where it matters most: in solution design and execution. We’re seeking a Program Manager to join our Copilot Acceleration Team (CAT). In this role, you’ll partner with some of Microsoft’s most strategic and innovative customers to accelerate their AI adoption and deliver transformative business outcomes. You’ll also channel ecosystem insights directly into product strategy and roadmap decisions. Responsibilities
- Act as the trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to customers, driving confidence in Microsoft’s AI capabilities and accelerating adoption.
- Own executive-level relationships across customers and Microsoft, bridging engineering and business to deliver outcomes and unblock challenges.
- As the bridge between engineering and customer, own and drive-to-resolve action items based on engagements, with regular updates to stakeholders.
- Co-innovate with customers on AI strategy and solution architectures, and guide implementation to achieve measurable business goals for AI transformation.
- Unblock product gaps and issues with deeply-informed and grounded recommendations; influence product and engineering leaders to prioritize product investments based on strong evidence, signals, compete insights, and business context.
- Be the technical expert on the ground with the customer team to increase confidence in the product capabilities & drive adoption.
- Own the relationships with multiple stakeholders within the customer accounts (ranging from senior leadership to architects & partners) to drive adoption & unblock issues.
- Communicate effectively to keep all the stakeholders (internal Microsoft & customer) informed of the progress of the engagement, issues, blockers, successes, and impact to drive adoption & realize value.
- Deeply understand the technical challenges, constraints and blockers faced by customers and provide recommendations for solving these challenges by suggesting multiple solutions and workarounds along with pros and cons for each approach, to enable the customer / partner team to successfully deploy solutions in production.
- Influence various product team owners to prioritize product features that are blocking customer scenarios by sharing feedback, explaining customer context & importance, effective communication and by leveraging senior leadership escalation, as necessary.
- Be the bridge between engineering & customer teams and own action items from customer engagements and drive them to completion by sharing regular updates to all the stakeholders, identifying the right owners for each action item, and regularly following up with the owners to completion.
- Be on the lookout for success stories & opportunities within customer organizations to uncover the human truth behind adoption & celebrate success.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
- Customer-facing experience (in a direct customer-facing role or customer-engaged product role).
- Product development and/or solution architecture experience.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building and/or advising on the development of AI applications and agents, including conversational UX, agent frameworks, and/or GPT/Copilot solutions.
- Experience with AI / agent platforms such as Copilot Studio or Microsoft Foundry, and/or competitors.
- Experience with Power Platform technologies and areas including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, etc.
- Experience with AI infrastructure technologies including MCP, A2A, distributed orchestration frameworks (e.g., Power Automate, Logic Apps), data connectors, etc.
