Microsoft’s Enterprise Account Team focuses on partnering with customers to achieve strategic goals. This team is responsible for providing a differentiated customer experience for our customers, winning against competition by establishing Microsoft as market leaders, maximising customer spend, and achieving targets (billed revenue, consumption, and adoption). Delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and driving revenue growth for Microsoft.
As Account Executive for Northern Ireland Government, you will own and lead the account strategy for a portfolio spanning government departments, arms-length bodies, and agencies. You will engage senior customer stakeholders, orchestrate Microsoft and partner capabilities, and shape outcome-led opportunities across AI, Copilot, Security, cloud, and modern work to deliver customer value and Microsoft growth. This opportunity will allow you to accelerate your development as a strategic public-sector account leader, deepen your understanding of AI-enabled government transformation, and strengthen your ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales engagements. You will build trusted relationships at senior levels, translate customer priorities into clear transformation plans, and help Microsoft earn the right to be a long-term partner to Northern Ireland Government.
As a Strategic Enterprise Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to drive transformation in partnership with our most strategic customers with a focus on AI, Copilot, and Security to achieve both Microsoft and customer business outcomes. Leveraging your large, multi-functional team across the breadth of the Microsoft solutions portfolio, engage at the most senior levels of your customer and bring industry-relevant solutions to help the customer adopt and embrace digital technologies.
With a proven history of driving growth in market share, achieving sales targets, customer obsession, and partner collaboration, this role will give the opportunity to leverage your extensive customer network and sales experience to execute against your customers’ account plan.
Responsibilities
- Develops and oversees the execution of account plan(s) to ensure Microsoft revenue targets and customer outcomes are met.
- Engages with internal and external stakeholders on business planning, to promote mutually beneficial customer digital transformation strategies.
- Orchestrate full customer team across all areas of Microsoft to ensure we are focused on delivering customer outcomes across the customer lifecycle to build deep trust with Microsoft.
- Proactively develops a strong understanding of the customer’s business, industry priorities to drive new business opportunities/drive growth/net new business.
- Advocates on behalf of the customer internally, ensuring requests and needs of assigned accounts are being addressed.
- Leads and orchestrates extended virtual teams across our solution areas to consistently achieve growth in revenue & market share.
- Builds and maintains a strong knowledge of customers’ industry, associated business strategy, and key industry partners and solutions.
- Gains deeper insights and knowledge through direct engagement in their customers’ business and operations.

- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND proven experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology).
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND proven experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology).
- OR equivalent experience.
