A new Quality Supplier Officer vacancy has arisen within our fast-growing company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our QSHE team, reporting to the Quality Manager.

Location: Skegness – Holly Road Head Offices, with regular working at other sites across Lincolnshire and a requirement for regular national and international auditing.

Job Type: Full Time | Monday to Friday, 9.00am–5.00pm (with half an hour unpaid lunch break)

Salary: £36,000–£40,000pa (dependent on skills and experience)

Additional Benefits: Relocation package of up to £2,000, generous yearly bonus (Profit Related Pay), company sick pay, 30 days holiday including bank holidays.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Supplier Officer to join our Quality Team. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, audit and effective implementation of our business-wide Integrated Management Systems, incorporating Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental processes. You will play a key role in working with the Quality team to develop and implement processes for ensuring the quality of factored goods, providing guidance and expertise to those responsible for Quality.

As Quality Supplier Officer, you will specialise in Supplier Performance Quality – ensuring products supplied to Micronclean meet specification and that the organisations and facilities supplying them have the systems and controls in place to demonstrate our required levels of capability.

Key Duties

  • Represent Micronclean and our expectations on suppliers' sites, acting as the primary interface on supplier quality issues and keeping the business informed of all activities related to supplier performance.
  • Effectively manage, plan, schedule and perform external supplier audits, including international audits, in line with relevant schedules and certification, supporting all areas of the business; responsibilities include generation of audit reports, following up quality issues and ensuring corrective actions are closed out.
  • Collaborate closely with the Micronclean Procurement department during supplier selection to assess risk and ensure all relevant documentation is obtained for approval to supply, including accurate technical specifications for incoming products.
  • Ensure all supplier documentation is correctly filed, stored and available, and that associated systems are kept up to date at all times.
  • Conduct internal audits to proactively identify quality issues within the business and assess the effectiveness of solutions in place.
  • Monitor and manage Supplier Quality KPIs, CAPAs and supplier performance, including escalation of poor supplier performance and management of supplier quality risks.
  • Assist the QSHE team with daily activities, support training of relevant personnel and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

The Candidate

  • Self-motivated and highly determined, with a drive to affect positive change.
  • Science degree or equivalent experience in a supplier management role.
  • Detailed knowledge and practical experience of quality management systems, particularly ISO9001:2015.
  • Experienced Lead Auditor for ISO9001; auditor experience in ISO13485.
  • Internal auditor qualification.
  • Willing and able to execute international audits independently.
  • Training/experience in validation and GMP knowledge/background.
  • Experience working with an ERP system.
  • Strong communicator and team worker, able to work independently with good attention to detail and to deadlines.
  • Full driving licence.
