HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm or 8.00am - 4.00pm
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- You will be a bridge between Production, Engineering and Research and Development teams, ensuring that processes for manufacturing and new products are both efficient and reliable.
- This will be a blend of project management, technical expertise, and customer-centric thinking.
- You will need to be both strategic and hands-on, managing various aspects of product development and manufacturing processes.
- You will have the vision to improve and develop new systems and the skill set to implement modifications in-house.
- Experienced Engineer who has practical knowledge in a manufacturing or a production environment who will take ownership of the process engineering function at the Louth and Skegness sites, and able to establish how best to improve its automation capabilities.
- Manufacture a new product and research and source new processing equipment as required by the business.
- You will have a data driven approach to problem solving and continuous improvement and be able to work using your own initiative, with a proactive attitude helping to drive the department forward.
- You will have both an Electrical and mechanical Engineering discipline.
- You will be responsible for ensuring machinery purchased or modified is safe to operate and legally compliant.
- Work closely with machinery suppliers or with internal colleagues to prove process capability on new machinery or modified machinery commissioning.
- Adopt effective data driven problem solving utilising a structured approach (Micronclean 5C or Ford’s 8D for example).
- Contribute to capital spend process demonstrating requirements through data and predicted benefits.
- With an HND / HNC qualified within a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
- PC skills including CAD, modelling software, Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
- An electrical bias / 17th addition electrical would be beneficial.
- An understanding of steam systems would be beneficial.
- Pneumatics experience would be beneficial.
- PLC control systems knowledge.
