An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our growing engineering team at Micronclean. Based primarily at our Louth, Lincolnshire site, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of our production equipment and facilities. SALARY: £43,000 - £48,000 p.a. (dependent on experience)
JOB TYPE: Full-time

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday – weekly rotating shifts - 6:30am - 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 10:30pm
ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, fault diagnosis, and engineering support across both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will help maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a varied and hands-on role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business. As occasional travel between company sites is required, a full UK driving licence is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery and facilities
- Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Accurately record maintenance activities within the Maintenance Management System (MMS)
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Work collaboratively with production and operational teams to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures and industry standards
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment where required
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Essential:
- Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3/4, HNC, HND or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role involving both mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of PLCs, motors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Mitsubishi PLC knowledge and experience
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification
- Experience with steam generation systems
