A new GMP Cleaner vacancy has arisen within our Cleanroom Cleaning department at the site of our customer Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult in Wembley, London.

LOCATION: Wembley, London, NW10 7UN

JOB TYPE: Part Time

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Thursday 2h (17:30 to 19:30) and Friday 3h (17:30 to 20:30)

PAY: £13.85 per hour

JOB INTRODUCTION: We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our friendly team working in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all designated areas as directed using appropriate equipment and/or materials as supplied.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning, washing walls, sweeping, emptying of litter bins, cleaning of equipment as required to keep a high audit standard at all times.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Produce GDP Compliant reports and documentation
  • Cleaning in the GMP (sterile environment), administration areas (offices & toilets)
  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within assigned areas by ensuring that the relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed
  • Ensure accurate completion of area logbooks as required by SOPs
  • Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during the working day. Any faults/defects to be reported to GMP Cleaning Supervisor
  • Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers or hazards to GMP Cleaning Supervisor/Team Leaders
  • Attend training sessions pertaining to the post.
  • Carry out any duties as required by the GMP Cleaning Supervisor/Team Leaders
  • Liaise on a daily basis with other members of the cleaning team, other staff, and customers.

All employees are required to adhere to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and Micronclean procedures applicable to their role. Training will be provided to ensure that the procedures are understood, and responsibilities are defined.

From time to time, you may be required to provide support to the night shift team. We are therefore looking for candidates who can demonstrate flexibility in their approach to shift patterns.

The Candidate:

Essential:

  • Must have a good level of written and spoken English
  • General good health
  • Reasonable standard of fitness as job holder on feet for most of the day
  • Prepared to wear full uniform at all times
  • Prepared to work to strict timelines in isolated areas and follow stringent dress codes relevant to GMP
  • Prepared to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Line Manager and in accordance with the working instructions/procedures
  • Good standard of IT literacy – Microsoft Office
  • Flexible, regarding ability to support other shift patterns when required
  • Must be able to commute

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience within a similar industry
  • Team worker with a flexible approach
  • Knowledge of COSHH
  • An understanding of GMP and quality systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Machinery skills
