A brand-new Cleaner vacancy has arisen in our fast-growing company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team.

LOCATION: Meira GTx, Provost Street, London (will also be required to work at Meira GTx on Nile Street and Britannia Walk)

JOB TYPE: Part Time

HOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday 4.00am to 7.30am

PAY: £13.35 per hour increasing to £13.85 per hour after successfully completing a 3-month probationary period

JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for two enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our friendly team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the premises are cleaned and maintained to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in line with organisational policies, health and safety regulations, and operational requirements. This includes identifying and addressing any process inefficiencies, supporting team members in meeting their objectives, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the department. You will also be required to support production as and when required.

Duties to include:

  • Attend and actively contribute to meetings or initiatives.
  • Perform start-of-shift and end-of-shift checks as necessary.
  • Cleaning kitchens, maintaining cleanliness inside cupboards, restocking coffee and tea essentials.
  • Cleaning coffee machines.
  • Cleaning and descaling dishwasher and coffee machines.
  • Collecting and washing tableware, glassware and cutlery.
  • Low and high dusting.
  • Vacuuming and mopping.
  • Bagging and disposing rubbish.
  • Disposing all waste in correct manner.
  • Toilet and washroom cleaning and other cleaning duties required.
  • Work in accordance with departmental Job Work Instructions (JWIs) and Standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow COSHH Risk assessments.
  • Support your Team Leader/Co-ordinator in achieving and exceeding daily targets and report any abnormalities promptly.
  • Maintain adherence to area standards and principles.
  • Follow all Health and Safety procedures and site rules at all times.
  • Consistently meet both internal and external customer expectations.
  • Any other tasks or duties reasonably assigned to you.

Essential:

  • Previous cleaning experience.
  • Must have a good level of written and spoken English.
  • General good health.
  • Reasonable standard of fitness as job holder on feet for most of the day.
  • Prepared to wear full uniform at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Line Manager and in accordance with the working instructions / procedures.
  • Good standard of IT literacy – Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible, regarding ability to support other shift patterns when required.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience within a similar industry.
  • Team worker with a flexible approach.
  • Knowledge of COSHH.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Machinery skills.
