Join Micronclean as our International Distributor Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving Micronclean's international growth strategy. As a market leader in cleanroom consumables and contamination control solutions, we are seeking an ambitious, commercially focused International Distributor Manager to expand our presence across global markets.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing international distributor strategies that deliver sustainable revenue growth, margin improvement and market penetration across assigned territories. You will lead and develop our International Business Development Managers, manage key distributor relationships and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives, product strategy and customer requirements.

Working closely with our network of international distributors and end-user customers, you will be responsible for growing sales, developing strategic partnerships and promoting Micronclean's expertise and innovative product portfolio worldwide.

The Role

Micronclean has developed a market-leading range of cleanroom consumable products, many of which are researched, developed and manufactured within our own facilities. Having achieved significant success in the UK market, we are seeking to replicate this growth across international territories.

As International Distributor Manager, you will take ownership of distributor performance across assigned territories, establishing country-specific growth strategies, developing high-performing distributor partnerships and ensuring profitable expansion of our export business. You will also have responsibility for managing and developing International Business Development Managers, coaching them to achieve agreed KPI targets and deliver exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in international sales leadership, distributor management and business development. You will be highly motivated, commercially astute and capable of balancing strategic planning with hands-on customer and distributor engagement.

As this is a leadership role with teams based across multiple locations, the successful candidate will be expected to spend onboarding time both in Scotland, where a significant part of the team is located, and at our Head Office in Lincolnshire. Regular travel between sites will be required to build relationships, support colleagues and maintain effective leadership presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement international distributor strategies that support sustainable sales growth, margin improvement and increased market penetration.
  • Lead, coach and develop International Business Development Managers, ensuring delivery of agreed sales objectives and KPIs.
  • Establish country-specific sales and margin targets in conjunction with the Sales Director and Group Product Manager.
  • Conduct annual business planning and regular performance reviews with distributors.
  • Identify, evaluate and onboard new distributor partners in strategic markets.
  • Manage distributor agreements, pricing structures, margin expectations and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure distributors and customer accounts operate in line with Micronclean policies, procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Own distributor performance management, taking corrective action where required to maximise long-term profitability and growth.
  • Obtain and review sales forecasts from distributors, ensuring accuracy and effective demand planning.
  • Maintain accurate customer and distributor information within the company CRM system.
  • Conduct regular overseas visits to support distributors, build customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors, customers, suppliers, colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing and Supply Chain teams to support growth initiatives and product strategies.
  • Develop short and long-term sales strategies, objectives and action plans for assigned territories.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, customer needs and industry trends.
  • Deliver technical training sessions, seminars and presentations to distributors and customers as required.
  • Support distributors and customers in meeting relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Share market intelligence and competitor insights to support business decision-making.
  • Champion innovation by identifying opportunities for new products, services and process improvements.
  • Demonstrate and promote Micronclean's SKIEs values at all times.
  • Undertake frequent international travel, including occasional weekend travel where required.
