A new GMP Cleaning Team Leader vacancy has arisen within our Cleanroom Cleaning department at our customer site in Glasgow, Scotland.

LOCATION: West of Scotland Science Park, 1 Kelvin Walkway, Glasgow G20 0SP

JOB TYPE: Part Time

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Wednesday 6:00pm – 9.00pm

PAY: £14.52 per hour

JOB INTRODUCTION: We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our friendly team working in GMP manufacturing environments. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all designated areas as directed using appropriate equipment and/or materials as supplied and providing support to the team members and liaising with the customer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working on our client site in Glasgow leading a small team of GMP cleaners as part of our Virology/Microbiology department.
  • Completing and documenting routine weekly and monthly cleans of laboratories and laboratory equipment (Bio Safety Cabinet, centrifuges) surfaces and cabinets.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Produce GDP (Good Document Practice) Compliant reports and documentation.
  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within assigned areas by ensuring that the relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
  • Logbook checks of team members to ensure accurate completion as required by SOPs.
  • Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during the working day. Any faults/defects to be reported to the customer.
  • Highlight audits to be performed of general buildings and inform GMP Cleaning Area Manager/GMP Cleaning Coordinator.
  • Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers or hazards to the customer.
  • Attend training sessions pertaining to the post.
  • Carry out any duties as required.
  • Liaising between fellow departmental team leads and GMP Cleaning Coordinator.

All employees are required to adhere to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and Micronclean procedures applicable to their role. Training will be provided to ensure that the procedures are understood, and responsibilities are defined.

The Candidate:

Essential:
  • Previous cleaning experience
  • Must have a good level of written and spoken English.
  • General good health.
  • Reasonable standard of fitness as job holder on feet for most of the day.
  • Prepared to wear full uniform at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Line Manager and in accordance with the working instructions/procedures.
  • Good standard of IT literacy – Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible regarding ability to support other shift patterns when required.
Desirable:
  • Experience within a similar industry.
  • Team worker with a flexible approach.
  • Knowledge of COSHH.
  • An understanding of GMP and quality systems.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Machinery skills.
