Overview
MULTI-DROP DELIVERY DRIVER – Full Time
Location: Leyland, Lancashire
Salary: £155.63 per day
Core benefits: Loyalty Holidays, Company Sick Pay, Pension (5% contribution), Profit Related Pay Scheme, Annual Bonus, Enhanced Maternity Pay
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 4.00am – 1.00pm (with flexibility), with occasional weekends (paid at overtime rate)
What we’re looking for
- Experienced Class C1 (7.5ton) driver with a valid Driver Qualification Card
- Self-motivated, reliable, and customer focussed
- Good knowledge of routes and road regulations
- Ability to drive safely and efficiently, even under pressure
- Capability to handle tight delivery schedules
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team to meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Perform daily defect vehicle checks
- Load the vehicle with garments, consumables, mats and roller towels using the handheld personal digital assistant (PDA) where appropriate
- Delivery and collection from customer sites
- Maintain the drivers Route Book and complete relevant paperwork necessary for the route
- Ensure that your vehicle is clean and tidy
- Good level of spoken English
- Physically capable for the manual handling requirements of the role
