Cycle Addicts is looking for a skilled, hands-on experienced Bicycle mechanic to join our busy workshop in Rochdale. We aren’t just a shop; we’re a hub for the local cycling community, and our workshop is the heart of it all. We deal with everything from high-end carbon road bikes and muddy MTBs to the latest e-bike technology.

The Role

  • You’ll be our go-to expert for keeping the riders of Rochdale rolling. This isn’t just about the basics—we need a seasoned pro who is comfortable with high-spec builds and complex technical diagnostics on all types of bikes.
  • Full Servicing & Repairs: From basic safety checks to complete strip-downs and rebuilds.
  • Technical Diagnostics: Expertly handling hydraulic brake bleeds, suspension tuning, and electronic shifting (Di2/eTap) setups.
  • E-Bikes: Troubleshooting and updating Bosch, Shimano, and Avinox systems.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring every bike that leaves the stand meets our high standards for safety and performance.
  • Customer Interaction: Chatting with customers about their pride and joy, offering honest advice, and explaining technical repairs without the jargon.

What We’re Looking For

  • We need a pro who can hit the ground running. While we love enthusiasm, significant workshop experience is a must for this role.
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a professional workshop environment.
  • Certifications: Cytech Level 2 or 3 is highly preferred (but your proven track record counts for a lot).
  • Problem Solver: You don’t get flustered by a seized seat post or a mystery creak.
  • Team Player: We’re a tight-knit crew; we need someone who works hard, shares the load, and enjoys the occasional shop floor banter.
  • Passion: You like bikes. You probably ride them. You understand why they matter to our customers.

Why Cycle Addicts?

  • Competitive Salary: Based on your experience and “wizardry” levels. £13-17.50ph.
  • The Gear: Work with professional-grade tools in a well-stocked, busy environment.
  • Staff Perks: Generous discounts on bikes, parts, and accessories.
  • Local Vibes: Join a respected Rochdale business with a loyal (and growing) customer base.
