Giant Store Camden is an independent, high-performance retail hub and a key centre for London’s cycling and multisport community. We are looking for an ambitious, knowledgeable Bike Specialist ready to contribute to our success and grow within our team.
The Opportunity
This is a dynamic, customer‑facing role reporting to the owner/manager. You will be instrumental in delivering the excellent, memorable experience our customers expect. We seek someone with genuine enthusiasm for cycling and the confidence to discuss high‑quality products from Giant, Liv, Cadex, and Momentum, alongside our complementary brands. We offer customers a bespoke process to help ensure they are matched to a good choice of bike, optimised for comfort and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Welcome and understand customer needs; provide expert advice on suitable products and services.
- Retail Operations: Manage daily store tasks, ensure high standards of merchandising, and maintain store presentation.
- Sales & Systems: Process sales, repairs, and stock management efficiently using our EPOS system.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the staff team to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
- Community Building: Actively participate in store‑hosted rides, events, and marketing activities that serve our local community, including Team Liv Giant Camden and sponsoring Hampstead Triathlon Club.
Candidate Profile
You are professional, with a warm, attentive, respectful and effective communication style. While we provide training, you are expected to conduct personal research to stay current with cycling industry trends and product developments. A creative, proactive mindset is highly valued.
Practical Details & Rewards
- Hours: Full‑time, 09:00 to 17:30 Tuesday to Saturdays
- Pay: Our rates are competitive and dependent on your experience
- Additional Pay: Monthly team bonus potential based on store revenue targets.
