Experienced Bicycle Mechanic
Location: Port Velo Cycle Works, Portbury (serving Portishead and the surrounding area)
Salary: From £27,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays by agreement)
Contract: Permanent

The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Bicycle Mechanic to join our growing team. You’ll service and repair a wide range of bicycles while delivering first-class customer service and helping maintain the high standards our workshop is becoming known for. Working alongside the owners, you’ll play an important role in the continued growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, diagnose and repair road, gravel, mountain, commuter and electric bicycles.
- Build new bikes and carry out upgrades.
- Accurately complete job cards and workshop records.
- Advise customers on servicing, repairs and upgrades.
- Assist with workshop scheduling, parts ordering and stock control.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
- Deliver consistently high standards of workmanship and customer care.
About You:
- Cytech Level 2 qualified (or equivalent industry experience). Level 3 is desirable.
- Experienced working in a professional cycle workshop.
- Organised, reliable and self-motivated.
- Friendly, professional and confident when dealing with customers.
- Passionate about quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
