We're looking for a Transport Management System (TMS) specialist to join Microlise and help customers transform their transport operations through the successful delivery of Transport Management System solutions. This isn't a traditional project management role. We're seeking someone who understands transport operations, can confidently configure and optimise TMS solutions, and enjoys working directly with customers to solve real-world logistics challenges.

Whether you've worked with Microlise or another Transport Management System, your practical TMS expertise, operational understanding and customer-focused approach are what matter most. You'll have the opportunity to work with some of the UK's leading transport and logistics operators, helping them improve efficiency, reduce costs and optimise their operations through innovative technology.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the implementation, configuration and optimisation of Transport Management System solutions
  • Run customer workshops to understand transport operations, planning processes and business requirements
  • Configure TMS solutions to support route planning, fleet utilisation, driver management, compliance and operational efficiency
  • Support customers through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating workflows and ensuring operational readiness
  • Troubleshoot planning, execution and configuration issues, identifying practical solutions and workarounds
  • Deliver customer training on planning, dispatch, execution monitoring, exception management and reporting functionality
  • Support go-live activities and provide post-implementation optimisation recommendations
  • Work closely with customers to help them maximise the value of their TMS investment
  • Test and validate TMS functionality, integrations and operational processes before deployment
  • Collaborate with Product, Development and Support teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage delivery activities, risks and issues to ensure successful customer outcomes

What We're Looking For

  • Proven hands-on experience with a Transport Management System (TMS)
  • Experience configuring, implementing or optimising TMS solutions
  • Strong understanding of transport, fleet and logistics operations
  • Experience supporting customers through implementations, UAT, go-live and post-implementation optimisation
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into effective system solutions
  • Experience working with integrated business systems such as ERP, WMS, telematics or mobile applications
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
